The four day Heart of Gold International Film Festival held in Gympie encourages films that are entertaining, uplifting, thought provoking and express a positive view of the world and humanity. The Festival features an extensive short film program and a limited number of feature films with a range of special events, seminars, master classes and intimate ‘meet the filmmaker’ sessions. From more than 400 films entered, the Festival showcases over 150 short films from 23 countries, including Australia. Many of these films are vying for the $5,000 cash prize for Best Film.
