The race day starts with breakfast at the Tin Can Bay Yacht Club before up to 80 yachts head up the Great Sandy Strait. The Saturday night stop is at Gary's Anchorage on Fraser Island before the final race to Hervey Bay Yacht Club for presentations to winners on Sunday.

Entry to the competition is free and there is $2,000 worth of prize money up for grabs. Join us for this great day of historical re-enactment in conjunction with your Rattler journey on the third Sunday of each month.  Seargeant Moore and Trooper Knox have been commissioned to escort a large shipment of gold from the Gympie Goldfields to Imbil.  Watch out for bushrangers along the way... especially at the stations.  A serious attempt will most likely take place when we reach Imbil, we therefore ask you to alight from the train as quickly as possible.
