our centres so that our friendly volunteers can help with maps and brochures, advice and directions, accommodation bookings, tour bookings, 4WD hire and Fossicking Licences.

Lake Alford VIC Gympie
The Lake Alford Visitor Information centre is located on the Bruce Hwy at the Duck Ponds. Our friendly and helpful staff can help you with all your travel enquiries including accommodation and tour bookings. We also have a wide range of brochures and maps to help you find your way. The Matilda visitor information centre is located on the Bruce Hwy at Kybong in the Matilda Roadhouse complex. When stopping for refreshments during your travels, call in to see our friendly volunteers for travel advice and information on things to see and do in the Gympie region. Do you have some spare time on your hands and would like to meet some new people? Gympie’s accredited Visitor Information Centres rely on our dynamic and dedicated team of volunteers. We would love for you to join us!! All of our volunteers receive full training, trips on familiarisation tours, a small honourarium payment and a fun and safe working environment.
