Turn off the Bruce Highway 20km south of Gympie and follow
the signs to Amamoor township.The forest is 10km west of
Amamoor along the Amamoor Creek Road. Access is suitable for
conventional vehicles towing caravans. Recreational areas at
Amamoor are beside Amamoor Creek.

Brooyar State Forest
This quiet retreat contains rainforest, open eucalypt forest and hoop pine plantations. Patches of riverine rainforest fringe Glastonbury Creek where you can camp. Queenslands best hoop pine plantations are in this forest. Turn off the Bruce Highway 20km north-west of Gympie to the Wide Bay Highway.

Inskip Peninsula Recreation Area
Inskip Peninsula Recreation Area lies opposite the southern tip of Fraser Island, at the entrance to the Great Sandy Strait and Tin Can Bay. The peninsula is bounded by the Pacific Ocean on its eastern side and the sheltered waters of Tin Can Bay and Great Sandy Strait to the west. Catch a vehicle barge to Fraser Island
from Inskip Point.
