Mount Clara Copper Mine Chimney
Built in 1870, the Mount Clara Copper Mine Chimney is in a remarkable state of preservation. The structure is about 50ft high and is an example of incredible workmanship. The site is notable for the absence of modern intrusions and as a relic of early mining activity in the district. Located on Rossmore Rd, 11km southeast of Kilkivan, this stone pitched chimney was built using local stone of all shapes and sizes, and is a popular attraction for those interested in old mineral workings.
