Mount Clara Copper Mine Chimney

Built in 1870, the Mount Clara Copper Mine Chimney is in a remarkable state of preservation. The structure is about 50ft high and is an example of incredible workmanship. The site is notable for the absence of modern intrusions and as a relic of early mining activity in the district. Located on Rossmore Rd, 11km southeast of Kilkivan, this stone pitched chimney was built using local stone of all shapes and sizes, and is a popular attraction for those interested in old mineral workings.

Gympie Gold Mining & Historical Museum

Set by Gympies picturesque Lake Alford, the
Gympie Gold Mining & Historical Museum houses memorabilia from the early gold mining era, as well as displays showcasing military, rural, transport, communications and steam development in Australia. OPENING HOURS: 7 days a week, 9am to 4pm.

Gympie Regional Gallery

An inspiring cultural attraction, the Gympie Regional Gallery is
housed in the beautiful and original School of Arts Building, built in 1905.
The Gallery celebrates local artists and a range of high quality
touring exhibitions. Entry to the Art Gallery is free.

Woodworks Museum & Info Centre

WoodWorks Museum & Visitor Information Centre provides an insight into the timber industry & social history of yesteryear through displays & demonstrations. Features a large selection of pioneering handtools, 1925 Republic truck, bullock wagons & blacksmith shop. Bruce Hwy & Fraser Rd, Gympie.

Dolphin Feeding at Tin Can Bay

Follow Tin Can Bay Road to Norman Point public boat ramp at
Tin Can Bay, where you can feed rare dolphins in their natural environment. The dolphins arrive between 7am to 10am daily at Norman Point with regulated feeding from 8am.
Cost is only $5 per person.

Kilkivan and District Museum

The Kilkivan & District Museum and Visitor Information Centre
is located at 12 Bligh Street in Kilkivans main street, opposite the Post Office. The museum is open each Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 3pm, and every Saturday from 12 noon to 3pm.
