About Gympie Cooloola Tourism
Gympie Cooloola Tourism is a diverse not for profit membership based organisation with the vital function of promoting and developing the Gympie Cooloola region. We are the region’s peak tourism marketing and development organisation for the areas of Gympie, Rainbow Beach, Tin Can Bay and Cooloola Coast, Mary Valley, Kilkivan and Goomeri. 

We aim to highlight the unique attractions, events and tourism operators that make our area a great holiday destination and wonderful place to live.

Regional Marketing Campaigns
Gympie Cooloola Tourism is responsible for a wide range of destination marketing activities across multiple mediums. Our In-house production department produces a range of television commercials, radio adverts, print publications and advertisements, maps, on-line media and billboards for each area within the Gympie Cooloola region.

Other promotions include a series of trade shows, as well as publicity initiatives that promote community events and stories to outside media.

Gympie Cooloola Tourism produces a selection of quality annual publications including promotional brochures about Gympie, Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach, Mary Valley, Kilkivan & Goomeri.

Visitor Information Centres
Our Visitor Information Centres are located at Lake Alford, Matilda Roadhouse at Kybong and at the WoodWorks Museum.  More than 60 thousand visitors pass through these centres each year.

We stock a range of travel brochures, maps, magazines and local souvenirs. Gympie Cooloola Tourism's offers members the opportunity to display brochures in each of our information centres for a nominal annual fee. We also offer a booking service for members.

Office Manager Gail McKenzie and Admin Assistant Michelle Mills handle the day to day operations of Gympie Cooloola Tourism's Lake Alford offices including all administration and accounts. Members
Membership
We currently have approximately 200 members from all fields of the local tourism sector. These businesses and organisations benefit from the support they give us by helping us to promote our region and attracting visitors to the region. Annual membership is only $88.

A wide range of other benifits can be found on our
membership application handbook. Gympie Cooloola Tourism value our members and continue to look at new ways to promote them.
Weblistings
Brochure Display
Members have the opportunity to purchase a brochure display space at our information Centres. The annual fee starts at $110 for a DL size brochure.
 
Website Listings

An advert for your business on this website can be very beneficial, considering that over 80 per cent of travellers search the internet when planning a holiday. A standard listing is only $150 for 12 months or deluxe listing for just $220. You do not need to be a member for this service.

Volunteers
Our information centres are manned by a dedicated team of volunteers, who are our frontline of tourism and a vital asset to the Gympie Cooloola region. Volunteer famils occur throughout the year, offering members the opportunity to meet and inform our volunteers about their businesses.
